Laurel House

Laurel House Goes "Under Cover" With The Help Of The Elks!

Past President of Elks Lodge No. 714, Mark A. Shepperd (Far Right) accompanied by his son Nicholas stopped into Laurel House, in Norristown, PA recently to drop off a box full of needed umbrellas.  Shepperd read about the request for umbrellas in the local Times Herald newspaper and then went back to his lodge to request the money to purhase the needed items for Laurel House.  Happily accepting the donations are (L-R) Tommie Wilkins-Director of Volunteer Services and Community, Nina Scimenes-Development Associate, Jeanette Mazzoca-Childrens Community Educator and Patty Goloff-Administrative Assistant.  Laurel House is all about creating Safety, Justice and Self-Sufficiency for Abused Woman and Their Children and the Elks are always willing to help out anyplace their is a need in the surrounding communities they serve.  For more information regarding the Elks, call (610) 277-3810.
