THE GREAT HEART OF ELKDOM

VOLUME 106

On behalf of the Lodge Activities Committee, Thank you to everyone who shared in the birthday cake and fun to help celebrate our organizations 136th birthday on Saturday night, February 14th.

On Sunday morning, February 15th, from 11:00am - 1:00pm  all in attendance at the lodge enjoyed a delicious "Membership Appreciation" brunch prepared by our officers.  We even heard about some of our lodge's history from Larry LaCoste, whose is a past lodge secretary and member of BPOE #714 for the past 46 years!  Also, congratulations to Larry's guest, his brother Wally, for being reinstated back into our ranks that very day!  Everyone had a great time - please don't miss the next one.

Fellow lodge members, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for electing me to the high office of Exalted Ruler for the fraternal lodge year 2004-2005.  Along with my wife Brenda, we look forward to serving you in the coming year.  Tradition and change are both Hallmarks of Elkdom.  It is my desire that we draw upon tradition and history to recapture the best of who we are.  Remember that this lodge exists today because of the 103 years of service from many committed and dedicated Elks.

By now, you should have received your membership questionnaire.  Please take the time to fill it out and bring it back to the lodge by March 31st.  If you wish to remain anonymous then simply bring it back unsigned.  Your opinions are important to me, it's your lodge, you have a say in what goes on.  I look forward to hearing your feedback.  You can always reach me on line @ Markshepperd@Clearchannel.com or call my home phone @ (610) 962-8903.  I look forward to seeing you at the lodge.

                                       Fraternally yours,
                                       Mark A. Shepperd
